How to Run a Scheduled Build Now

I have a scheduled build defined to run everyday at 11:00 a.m. It's now 9 a.m. Say I want to run it now instead of at 11 a.m., for today only. I know I can change the schedule to run at 9 and then change it back after that. I'd rather not mess with the schedule definition. I know I can go to the project definition and kick the job off that way, but there are environmental variables already set up for the schedule definition and there is a chance I could make a wrong choice, thereby sending off a job which is different than what I intended. What I really need is a "run now" function for the scheduled job. Is there such a thing? How do I execute it? Is there also some sort of "temporary suppression" function which would disable a job for a limited time?

Thanks,

Hi John,

I can't think of a way to start a scheduled build without modifying the time of it. There is the ability to copy a schedule, if you didn't want to modify the original, and then alter the time on the copy.

I'm not sure which piece you're interested in for the "temporary suppression". You can set a schedule to 'Inactive' or on the project there is a 'Disable' check box to mark the project as inactive.
