I just downloaded the standard 2002 iFix3 RTC client. I get this message when I try to run launchpad.exe:

That's very odd - is this Windows or Linux? Any chance you have another JVM being picked up when you start it. Check your PATH settings to see if
another JVM comes up before this application's JVM.

Hi Philippa,

I had issues with Launchpad in the past on some machines.
You can try to install without Launchpad. See the Readme.txt section in README\en

4. WINDOWS INSTALLATION WITHOUT LAUNCHPAD

If the message really is caused by an issue launching the installation manager you could uninstall and reinstall it.

Thanks for your reply. I have Windows XP. I've had problems starting other Launchpad programs (for example, WebSphere Process Server). I do have this in my system variables: C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin. Should I remove it?

Hi

Try putting the JRE supplied with the launchpad in front of this entry in your path.

Do you have already an Installation Manager installed in your system?
If you have one, another workaround is to add in Installation Manager
preferences RTC repositories (included in the ZIP file you downloaded).

Hope it helps,

Chemi.
