Patching Jazz Server 6.0.6.1

m i (111) | asked Jan 16, 2:02 a.m.
Hello
Patching Jazz Server 6.0.6.1 due to a vulnerability located in WAS resulted in issues with the server license.
Expired On field in the 'License Management' section was suddenly active with a expiry date.
The License expired after one day.

Is it not possible to patch or upgrade WAS and JDK in Jazz Server 6.0.6.1?

Thanks.

I do not know what you expect as an answer to this question. 6.0.6.1 is out of support for a while. You are expected to upgrade to the latest supported version. You should also use Websphere Liberty Profile that ships with ELM, instead of WAS.

Hi Ralph

So patches delivered from IBM is only for supported Software?.

I would suggest to contact support. They have the answer.

From past experience I assume the answer will be that you need to upgrade. Fixes are not back-ported to unsupported versions.

An upgrade is important for various reasons, including various vulnerabilities in various places, expiring certificates and TLS version support being limited to TLS 1.2 TLS 1.3.
