User unable to add new folders in a component

 Hi,


One of the developer unable to add new folders in a component (Ex: A) of a stream (Ex: STR), whereas able to add folders in other component(B) in same (STR) stream and Component A from another stream. User creating the new folder in sandbox folder and refreshing the pending changes view for sandbox changes, but could not see the folder addition in unresolved changes of pending changes view. User not facing any issue adding or creating new files. I have verified the pre-conditions and permissions, but could not find any clue. We did not heard this from other users. So please let us know what could be the root cause for the issue.

RTC server version 6.0.6.1 and client also updated the RTC clients (eclipse and visual studio) to latest. Let me know in case of any information.

What are the steps to create the folder?  E.g. you do not add a new folder to a component in a stream, you add a new folder to a folder/Eclipse project in a sandbox, which is connected to a component. Detailed steps?  Did you check the .jazzignore in that component? Maybe you ignore the folder?

 Hi Ralph, User creating the new folder in sandbox folder where the repository workspace is loaded and expecting the new folder in Unresolved Changes of Pending changes view. User also tried refreshing the sandbox folder in pending changes view. Let me know in case of any information. One correction for the issue is user unable to create new folder in one component of all the streams, but I mentioned only one stream.  Thanks, Vinay

Is the folder being created at the root of the sandbox? If so, you need to share the folder to the component.

 The folder is not created in root folder and we are not able to reproduce the issue for other users. Only one user facing this issue.

Consider creating a new Eclipse workspace and try it there. Or maybe repair the metadata. The log in the .metadata might show something.
