Jazz Authorization Server for SSO in a distributed enviroment

Karen Steele (1.2k1134139) | asked Feb 25 '21, 1:12 p.m.

Its not entirely clear from the documentation, if the Jazz Authorization Server software must be installed on all applications servers in a distributed environment as well as the JTS server.  I know I have to enable SSO during installation of CCM for example but do I then need the Jazz Authorization software installed as well ?

 Karen,

You need at least one JAS installed, usually on the separate machine which will handle SAML.

It is recommendation. You can put it on the server with other applications but it will create a performance bottleneck as JAS is a separate liberty instance.
