 We have added a text field to one of the view under RTC plans. But we are not able to edit it.

Is it not possible text fields under Plan views?

No, text field is not editable in a plan views. Currently only enumeration and integer type of attributes can be edited in plan view. There is an opened RFE and you may comment on it:
