Inherit Attributes from Previous Artifact in Module View?

Daniel M (132) | asked May 05 '15, 10:17 a.m.
When working in module view and adding a new artifact of the same type using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter, is there any way to automatically have the new artifact inherit the attribute values from the artifact the user was just working in?

This would save our users time when entering multiple artifacts that should be using the same attribute values vs. having to select them each time a new artifact is entered.

No, but you can get a similar effect using Copy/Paste.  Ctrl+C on the first artifact, then Ctrl+V will add a duplicate to the module on the next row (with the same attribute values).  Press Enter to edit that new row, then Ctrl+A (or triple click) to select all text and replace it with your new text.

Thanks!  Hoping this will be added as a feature at some point but the copy/paste method will be a big help in the interim.
