How to create a "Remote Server Setup" (Launching a Jazz serv

Hi,

I struggle a little bit with the topic " Running and Debugging a Jazz server
for component development"

Questions:
* How to start Tomcat remote (from Eclipse)? Do I need additional (server-)
plugins?
* What should I do with the xxx.launch Files?

BTW, I did read all related Jazz Documents and "googled" also...

Thanks in advance

Stefan

Hi,

after reviewing all Jazz Examples (includes also Ajax Examples) I found the answers.

Question:
* How can I/we contribute a "how to" paper with screendumps to Jazz.net?
* Is anybody else interested or is it so obvious how to use Jetty and launch configurations?
:-)

Hi Stefan,

It sounds like the JazzServerRunAndDebug topic was mostly helpful, but
not 100% helpful to you. If I add some extra detail about what launch
files are and how they fit into Eclipse (i.e. Run > Open Run Dialog...)
would that have helped you?

I would rather make a small addition to the existing topic (if that will
clear the confusion) than add a completely new topic.

Hi Chris,

yes, improvements or a little more details would help. I got also (private) requests from India how to start with Jazz Comp.
==> There is room for improvements.

Open Question:
* How can the community help the Jazz Team?
* By example, is it possible for me to extend the wiki pages?

If you need help...let me know.

Stefan
