Installing the topology editor and importing the CLM standard topologies To work with the topologies in this project, you need IBM Rational Software Architect version 8.0.4, including the Extension for Deployment Planning. This extension includes the topology editor and is licensed separately. You can install a trial version of Rational Software Architect and the Extension for Deployment Planning at the following page: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/r/architect/ During the installation process, be sure to select the Extension for Deployment Planning. The related Extension for Deployment Automation Planning is not required for these topologies. When you have installed and started Rational Software Architect, import the archive file that contains the topologies using the following steps: 1. In the workbench, click File > Import. 2. In the Import window, expand General, click Existing Projects Into Workspace, and click Next. 3. Click Select archive file, click Browse, and select the CLM_Standard_Topologies.zip file. 4. Under Projects, make sure that the project named CLM_Standard_Topologies is selected and then click Finish. The workbench imports the project that contains the topologies. To open a topology, open the Project Explorer view, expand CLM_Standard_Topologies > topologies, expand the namespaces, and double-click a topology file.
