Rational Integration Tester and Rational Test Virtualiation Server Logical Architecture Diagrams uc.png

Authors: TWikiUser, TWikiUser
Build basis: Rational Integration Tester (RIT) and Rational Test Vertualization Server (RTVS), 8.x

The diagram show high level interactions between components when recording and stubbing. The details of how the interaction works, the implementation logic, is beyond the scope of these diagrams. General test architectures (as apposed to recording/stubbing) are not included as these all follow the same pattern of RIT or an RTVS agent making a connection to the service/server etc being tested. The ports used are entire dependent on the particular service instances being tested. For example an HTTP server may be listening on port 80 or 8080 or 443 etc

  • Where ports are not specified, the port is dependent on the system under test or is an internal application connection or is not known.
greenArrow.png Green arrow indicate traffic to/from stubs
    redArrow.png Red arrow indicate recording
blueArrow.pngThin blue arrows within components indicate communication. For thicker lines between components, the direction of arrows indicated direction of connection and not necessarily direction of flow of application or RIT/RTVS related data.
