Sample HP projects

The Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapter for HP ALM ships a sample HP project with customized workflows to add toolbar buttons to the HP Requirements, Test Plan, Test Lab, Manual Run, and Defect modules. These buttons, when clicked, will open the selected artifact in the HP adapter, open the associated Rational Requirements Management project dashboard, or open the associated Rational Change and Configuration Management project dashboard. The sample provided with the current trial version of the adapter, V1.1, only works with HP ALM 11.5 and SQL Server. The sample provided with the V1.0 adapter works with HP ALM 11 and SQL Server and is provided here for convenience for those customers using HP V11 and the V1.1 adapter.

Integrating with ClearQuest

The following resources are available for setting up the integration between the HP adapter and ClearQuest:

Integrating CLM with HP Quality Center

This developerWorks article presents the integrations and use cases supported by the Rational Adapter for HP ALM. It is intended for teams using HP Quality Center for quality management and one or more Rational applications for requirements management, change management, or both. The adapter provides traceability and collaboration across the boundaries of these individual tools. This helps teams to bring quality software to market quickly.
