JazzHub is a cloud based collaborative software development environment, based on RTC. It allows for quick project initiation, easy onboarding, and easy project monitoring. It also supports browser based code development using the Orion technology. In the next sections we will explore some of it's capabilities and uses.

The basics

todo16.png Note: we need to add a basic JazzHub overview here.

How should you get started using JazzHub? One of the best ways to learn is by actually DOING something, rather than reading about it. Start up a dummy project on JazzHub, and begin playing with it. Budget an hour or two to just learn the basics. You can begin by Creating a Project on JazzHub, making sure to give it a name which makes it obvious that this is a "sandbox" environment where you can try things out.

Where does it really live

JazzHub is hosted by IBM, but accessible from any internet connected machine. Your JazzHub projects can either be public (everyone in the world can see your project, and potentially join it), or private (only members can see the project, membership is by invitation only). Because of this, some sensitive projects may not be good candidates for hosting on JazzHub. However, JazzHub is the perfect place for open-source or community projects.

JazzHub usage scenario
