Example : Configuring Jazz Authorization Server with a SAML IDP todo.png

Build basis: IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management Solution and Jazz Authorization Server Version 6.0.6 and higher

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is an OASIS open standard for representing and exchanging user identity, authentication, and attribute information. A SAML assertion is an XML formatted token that is used to transfer user identity and attribute information from the identity provider (IdP) of a user to a trusted service provider (SP) as part of completing an SSO request.

IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management Solution (CLM) does not include a feature to configure directly with a SAML provider. However, with the introduction of Jazz Authorization Server (JAS), we can now configure CLM with a SAML provider for authentication via JAS. Starting in the CLM version 6.0.1, Jazz Authorization Server supports SAML web browser SSO in the Liberty profile. For additional information on SAML and WebSphere Liberty visit our Infocenter Page
