This page will capture guidance and best practice for fully or partially migrating, and integrating DOORS with DOORS Next Generation (DNG). On 23rd November 2015, an updated article was published on developerWorks. This article extensively documents how to plan and execute a migration project from IBM® Rational® DOORS® to IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation. This article provides a list of migration terms and definitions (as opposed to interchange) and describes the phases and tasks involved when moving active data into a Collaborative Lifecycle Management environment.

As the article mentioned above states, a part of the migration process is to assess your current data. It is therefore useful to understand your data shape using Calculating your requirements metrics to guide you.
