Initial assessment

Database tuning is outside the scope of the Jazz Administrator. Any information provided below is for reference only and should be passed to your database administrator.

  • There are specific settings when upgrading which are neither necessary or desirable for production run-time. During the upgrade from DOORS Next 6.x to DOORS Next 7.x, it is necessary to tune Oracle with specific settings.

  • A database administrator can use several Oracle tools to help tune the Oracle databases for ELM. One tool is SQL Access Advisor. The database administrator can use SQL Access Advisor to improve performance by providing the proper indexes for a given workload. More information about this tool is available in the Oracle Database Performance Tuning Guide, 19c.

  • Additional information about performance tuning Oracle databases is available in the Oracle documentation: Real-Time SQL Monitoring
