Configure a project area for a SAFe configuration.

Synopsis

Create a new IBM(r) Rational(r) DOORS(r) Next Generation project area using the SAFe(r) template, and configure it for use by the team.

Steps


1. Create the requirements project 

You can skip this step if you already created the project area via a Lifecycle Project.

1. Create a new project area.

The project template preconfigures the requirements project.

Follow these instructions: Creating requirements projects, to create a project based on the SAFe Portfolio Project template suited to your situation (Full, Large Solution, Portfolio, or Essential).

Note that you must first create a Project Area using the single Process Template that is available, and then you apply the SAFe Project template from among the available list of Project templates.


2. Configure the dashboard

Refer to the SAFe Dashboard Configuration Guidelines.
