New & Noteworthy for IBM Engineering Test Management 7.0.3 M3

Description
Export/Print New advanced server properties to configure the maximum number of associated test artifacts for the PDF print job

A test artifact can be associated with multiple numbers of other test artifacts. During the PDF print job of this test artifact, the associated test artifacts are also printed. This process uses lots of server memories.

A new advanced server property, Maximum number of associated test artifacts for the PDF print job, is now added to set the maximum number of associated test artifacts that can be allowed for the PDF print job of a test artifact. For example, during the PDF print job of a test plan that has multiple associated test artifacts, this property checks whether the allowable number of associated test artifacts is more than the actual number of associated test cases, test suites, and other test artifacts for the test plan. For the PDF print job of the browse table view, this property checks the number of test artifacts that are selected for the PDF print job. The default value for the maximum number of associated test artifacts is set as 10,000. However, this newly added property is not enabled by default.

To enable the previous property, another new advanced server property, Enable the check for the property - Maximum number of associated test artifacts for the PDF print job, is added. The default value for this property is false. You must set this property to true to enable the Maximum number of associated test artifacts for the PDF print job property.
Simplified Linking Test cases and architecture elements can now be linked by using simplified linking methods

You can now link test cases in ETM with architecture elements in IBM Engineering Rhapsody Model Manager by using the drag-and-drop and copy-and-paste methods.

Test plans and development plans can now be linked by using the copy-and-paste method

You can now link test plans in ETM with development plans in IBM Engineering Workflow Management by using the copy-and-paste method.
Technology Preview Quick search feature is now supported for multi-component enabled ETM project areas

The quick search feature is now supported for the multi-component enabled ETM project areas. You can search test artifacts across components by using the quick search feature.
Usability Enhancements Component column is now available for the Trash view in configuration management enabled ETM project areas

You can now add the Component column to the Trash view table of a configuration enabled project area. To add this column to the Trash view table, click the Change column display settings icon.

Note: The Component column can be added for only the View As > Trash list, but it cannot be added for the View As > Audit list. The Audit list displays only the purged or permanently deleted test artifacts with the minimum number of columns.
Local configuration name is now added to test artifact editors

In a configuration management enabled ETM project area, test artifact editors now show the name of the current configuration for the selected component. The configuration name is preceded with an icon that indicates whether it is a baseline or stream. Rich Hovers, Print View, and PDF Reports of the test artifacts also now show the name of the current configuration for the selected component in the configuration management enabled ETM project area.
Web UI Updated action icons in the multi-value category selection dialog boxes to match carbon design

In this release, the look and location of the action icons in the multi-value category selection dialog box are updated to match the Carbon Design. Also, the following changes are made on the user interface:
  • The category selection tooltip now limits the size of the content, instead of limiting the number of selected entries to display.
  • A warning is shown when you are about to reach the maximum number of filters that you can select to browse test artifacts.
  • The category edit fields are updated to avoid an excess height in the bulk update dialog box.
