New & Noteworthy for IBM Engineering Test Management 7.0.3 M2

Description
OSLC Test phases are now published as root-level reference resources

Until now, test phases were presented as inline resources for test plans, test case execution records, test suite execution records, test case results, and test suite results.

From this release, the test phases are published and represented as separately referenced resources. The property that is used to link test phases with resources remains the same, http://jazz.net/ns/qm/rqm#testSchedule.

The change also includes the following supports:

  • Support to create, update, and delete test phases in OSLC
  • Support for query capabilities in the OSLC API for test phases

For the implications that arise because of publishing test phases as separately referenced resources, see Workaround: Test phases are no longer published as inline resources for test plan, test case execution records, test suite execution records, test case results and test suite results in the OSLC API.

For more information about this feature, see Explore having Test Phase embedded inside each TCER RDF representation (187386).

Simplified Linking Display notified links of dropped or pasted items in configuration management enabled project area

In a configuration management (CM) enabled project area, when a test artifact in ETM is linked to a work item in IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) by using the drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste method, EWM notifies ETM about the link creation. The work item link is shown in ETM immediately before LDX is refreshed with the link information.

Similarly, in the CM enabled project area, when a requirement in IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next (DOORS Next) is linked to a test artifact in ETM by using the drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste method, ETM notifies DOORS Next about the link creation. The test artifact link is shown in DOORS Next immediately before LDX is refreshed with the link information.
Test plans and development plans can now be linked by using the drag-and-drop method

You can now link test plans in ETM with development plans in IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) by using the drag-and-drop method.

To drag an artifact, you can use the artifact icon in the artifact editor header. You can drag the artifact into another tab or window that uses the same browser instance and drop the artifact into the drop box shown in another artifact editor. You can select the link types and editor section, if available, from the Create Links dialog box and then click Create Links to create links between ETM test plan and EWM development plan.

Usability Enhancements Component column is now available for all relevant table views in configuration management enabled ETM project areas

The Component column is now available for all the relevant table views in the configuration management enabled ETM project areas. The column helps to identify the component of the table entry.
Trash view table columns are now configurable

You can now configure the table columns in the Trash page. To specify which columns to display, modify the column widths, or reorder the columns in both Trash and Audit lists, click Change column display settings. You can also set display options for rows, cell text, and font size.
Web UI Updated UI style of the value selection dialog box for single value categories

In this release, the user interface of the value selection dialog box for the single value categories is updated to match the Carbon Design of the multi-value category selection dialog box.
