Workaround: User gets logged off from a repository when working simultaneously on multiple solutions in the same sandbox

Platform: Windows
Client: Rational Team Concert 2.0.0.1 Client for Microsoft Visual Studio

Problem Description

When a user is working simultaneously on two shared solutions in the same sandbox, via two instances of the Rational Team Concert Client for Visual Studio, and logs off from the repository in one instance, the Pending Changes view stops tracking the sandbox in both instances.

More Information

    Symptom

The user has opened multiple solutions in the same sandbox simultaneously, via multiple instances of the Rational Team Concert Client for Visual Studio. The solutions are shared in one or more components in the same Jazz repository. When the user logs into the Jazz repository, the sandbox shows up as tracked in Pending Changes for all instances of the client. When the user logs off the Jazz repository in one of the instances of the client, Pending Changes stops tracking for that repository in all other instances of the client as well.

    Cause

For source control operations in a sandbox, multiple instances of the Rational Team Concert Client for Visual Studio share the same connection to the repository. Therefore, logging in and logging out from the repository affects all connected clients.

    Workarounds

The user needs to log back in to continue working in the same sandbox in the other instances of the Rational Team Concert client.
