Workaround: Windows 7 Symbolic link support requires that UAC be disabled

Summary
The symbolic link support provided by RTC SCM will not work properly on Windows 7 unless User Account Conrtol (UAC) is disabled.

ProblemRTC needs special permissions in Windows 7 in order to create symbolic links. These permissions need to be granted before running the client.
WorkaroundsThere are two potential ways to grant RTC the necessary permissions:
- If using the Eclipse based RTC client, right-click on the eclipse client program (launcher) and choose “Run as administrator”. If there is no such context menu item then consult your system administrator to give you the permission to run programs as an administrator.
- Consult your system administrator to assign the proper permissions:
- Have your system administrator assign the following permission for your account:
- Local Security Policy tool
- Local Policies
- User Rights Assignment
- Create symbolic links
- After the permissions have been granted then turn your User Account Control off:
Control Panel > User Account Control > Turn the big slider down to Never notify
- Have your system administrator assign the following permission for your account:
