Workaround: Changes in unsaved work items are not reverted after refreshing a plan

Plan views show unsaved changes for work items when the plan is refreshed. This can occur after opening a work item from the plan editor.

Problem
After modifying work items in a plan editor, refreshing the plan does not always restore field values for work items with unsaved changes. This can happen when you make changes to a work item in the plan, open the work item in a work item editor, and then go back to the plan. The Save button is disabled and refreshing the plan a single time does not discard changes for the unsaved work items.
Workaround
Click the plan Refresh icon a second time to update work item field values from the repository.
