Client API changes in Rational Build Forge 8.0 are not backwards compatible with Rational Team Concert, versions 4.0.5 and earlier.

Problem

In Rational Build Forge 8.0, some client API changes were made that are not backwards compatible with earlier versions. This affects the Rational Team Concert/Build Forge integration (for example, build engines of Rational Build Forge type), where it cannot process step events correctly or collect step logs from Build Forge.

There is no workaround available at this time. As a result, Build Forge 8.0 is not supported with Rational Team Concert, versions 4.0.5 or earlier. These issues were corrected in Build Forge 8.0.0.1, which is supported.
