Problem Summary

Lifecycle Query Engine (LQE) is not supported in Jazz Reporting Service 5.0.1.

Problem

The Jazz Reporting Service user interface might detect that a data source for the Lifecycle Query Engine exists. The Lifecycle Query Engine is an alternate data repository based on RDF and SPARQL query language that is shipped as part of the Rational Engineering Lifecycle Management product.  We have an experimental integration with this data source right now, which means that it is not officially supported as a workflow in the Jazz Reporting Service.  It is not recommended or supported to use the Lifecycle Query Engine as a data source at this time.

Workaround

Complete the following steps:

  1. Ensure that you are using the Rational Data Warehouse data warehouse when creating reports with the Jazz Reporting Service.  This data source is fully supported in 5.0.1 and is capable of creating reports for a variety of lifecycle product artifacts as well as supporting cross-product queries.
  2. If you navigate to the Admin page, on the Connect to data sources task button ensure that the default data source is set to the Rational Data Warehouse.  If this option is not available then you will not be able to create reports with Jazz Reporting Service 5.0.1.

Problem Summary

Empty list item in Jazz Reporting Service setup

Problem

When you are running the Jazz Reporting Service setup, in the Choose Report Managers step, there is an empty list item in the Report Managers list. This empty list item might cause an error (CRRGW5119E) and prevent you from completing the setup steps.

Workaround

Complete the following steps:

  1. Open the Jazz Reporting Service Admin page and click Choose Report Managers.
  2. Select the empty space from the Report Managers list and click Remove.
