Using the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition 60-day trial

This article presents user assistance for the 60-day trial version of the IBM Rational Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition. This trial version is intended for internal evaluation, testing or demonstration purposes.

Overview

IBM Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition provides a set of integrations that connect Rational Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) products to select third-party tools.

You can continue to use your existing lifecycle tools and benefit from the capabilities that are found in the Rational ALM products.

The Tasktop Edition provides adapters that integrate Rational Team Concert and Rational Requirements Composer with:

HP ALM and Quality Center
Atlassian JIRA
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Open source Bugzilla
CA Clarity for Project and Portfolio Management (PPM)
Serena Business Manager
Rally

Note that distinct HP ALM and JIRA adapters are included in both editions of Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters. The Tasktop Edition version of these adapters supports alternative use cases and customer workflow environments.

Important: This trial version of the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition is the same as the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition offering, except that the trial version includes a trial license key that expires 60 days after activation. In addtion, to enable this trial software, an activation key is required. You can contact Tasktop to obtain an activation key. You must purchase the entitled license key from IBM to continue to use the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition after the expiration date. Work done with the trial version can continue to be used after you install the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition offering.

Procedure

Go to Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters Tasktop Edition download page.
Click All (411.25 MB) under Platform.
Login with your jazz.net ID.
Review the accompanying license by clicking the View License link. If you agree to the license terms, select the checkbox to agree with the terms, and click Download.
Your download should begin. If the download does not begin, follow the instructions provided.
Extract the downloaded file to a location that you can access.
To enable this trial software, an activation key is required. Contact Tasktop to obtain an activation key.

Install the Tasktop Edition
