Email template variables

When you create a template for a notification type, you can use variables that retrieve information about the work item. This topic lists the variables that are available for use with the four notification types.

Approval notification

Variable Description
${recipient} : Contributor Recipient of the mail.
${workItem} : WorkItem Work item to which the approval belongs.
${approvalTitle} : Text Title of the approval. This should be used in the Email subject.
${approvalDescription} : Text Description of the approval. This should be used in the Email body.

${recipient} : Contributor Recipient of the mail.
${recipientRelation} : ContributorRelation Relation of the recipient to the work item. For example: owner, creator, subscriber.
${workItem} : WorkItem Work item in which a user was mentioned with the @user convention.
${message} : Text Message.

${recipientRelation} : ContributorRelation Relation of the recipient to the work item. For example: owner, creator, subscriber.
