Flowing changes to different repositories

After you enable distributed source control, you can create a repository workspace from the contents of a stream on a different server and deliver changes to that server.

Before you begin

Note: Distributed source control is not supported between 3.x and 4.x servers.

Procedure

  1. Enable distributed source control for two servers; for example, Server1 and Server2. For more information, see Enabling distributed source control.
  2. Create a repository workspace on Server2 from the contents of a stream on Server1. For more information, see Creating new repository workspaces from streams.
  3. Create change sets in the new repository workspace and associate them with work items on Server1 or Server2. For more information, see Associating change sets with work items.
  4. Deliver changes from Server2 to Server1. For more information, see Delivering change sets.
