Viewing build results

Perform the following steps to view Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) build results.

Procedure

  1. In the Engineering Workflow Management Primary Option Menu, enter a 4 on the Option line and press the Enter key. You can filter the build definitions that are displayed by entering a pattern in the Filter field. The list of builds in the currently connected project area are displayed.
  2. On the Builds panel, enter a V next to a build definition to view recent build results for the build definition. The build results include the status of the build, when it was started, and how long it took to run.
  3. On the Build Results panel, enter a forward slash (/) next to a build result to see a menu of actions, or enter one of the following actions:
    • Enter R to request a resubmission of the build.
    • Enter A to abandon a currently running build.
    • Enter C to cancel a build that is in pending status.
    • Enter D to delete a build result.
    • Enter L to view the build log files for the build.
      1. On the Build Log Files panel, enter a forward slash (/) next to a build result to see a menu of actions. You can also enter one of the following actions:
        • Enter a V to view the entire log file.
        • Enter a T to view the first section of the log file.
        • Enter a B to view the last section of the log file.
      2. If you enter a forward slash (/) next to a build result, on the Build Log List Actions panel, you can enter one of the following actions:
        • Enter a 1 to view the entire log file.
        • Enter a 2 to view the first section of the log file.
        • Enter a 3 to view the last section of the log file.
In addition, you can specify a percentage for the amount of the log file you want to see. You can select either the percentage of the first or last section of the file. The percentage is based on the size in bytes of the file. The default value is 10 per cent. If you change the value to a different amount, the amount you specify is stored in your ISPF profile. The amount is used each time that you later request to view either the first or last section of the log file.
