Viewing component hierarchy changes

Component hierarchy changes are visible in the Pending Changes view, Change Explorer view, and Change Summary view.

Procedure

  • To view component hierarchy changes in the Pending Changes view, complete the following steps:
    1. To open the Pending Changes view, click Windows > Show View > Others. Expand Jazz Source Control, click Pending Changes, and then click OK.
    2. In the Pending Changes view, right-click the component that contains the change set; then, click Expand Children. You can see the component and subcomponent changes. The icons and text labels indicate whether a subcomponent is added, removed, or inaccessible.

      Note: You can choose to display the component hierarchies in either a tree or list format. To change the format, in the Pending Changes view, click the View Menu icon and then click Preferences. Expand Jazz Source Control and click Changes. Under Component Hierarchies, click Show as tree or Show as list.
  • To view component hierarchy changes in the Change Explorer view, complete the following steps:
    1. In either the Pending Changes view, Search view, or History view, right-click a change set and click Open With > Change Explorer.
    2. In the Change Explorer view, expand the change set to see the subcomponent changes:

  • To view component hierarchy changes in the Change Summary view, in either the Pending Changes view, Search view, or History view, right-click a change set and click Open With > Change Summary. The Change Summary view shows the subcomponent changes that are part of the change set:
