Managing resources in Advanced mode
You can manage
Engineering Workflow Management source
control resources in your sandbox, such as locking files, viewing change history, or disconnecting
shared folders from source control.
Refreshing local changes in Advanced mode
You can update unresolved changes in your sandbox by refreshing the source control status of an item. If you refresh changes in a Windows Explorer window, the icons of source control items are also updated if changes exist.
Moving files or folders in Advanced mode
You can move files or folders in the Jazz® repository. You can select multiple files or folders and move them. You can also move files or folders that are in any of the modified states, such as unresolved, checked in, or in a state of conflict.
Renaming files or folders in Advanced mode
You can rename files or folders in the Jazz repository. The history of the renamed file or folder is preserved.
Undoing changes in Advanced mode
If you change a file or folder and then want to remove the change, you can undo the change.
Locking and unlocking resources in Advanced mode
You can lock files to prevent team members from modifying and delivering them to a stream.
Viewing the change history of files in Advanced mode
You can view all of the changes that were made to a file. The change history of the file is an ordered list of change sets.
Comparing resources with repository versions in Advanced mode
You compare repository files to view the differences between two versions of a file and to reconcile any conflicting changes. You can compare a repository file with the version of the file that immediately precedes it. For a local change and no outgoing change, you compare with the previous version in the repository workspace. For a local change and an outgoing change, you compare the local and the outgoing changes (previous version in the repository workspace). For an outgoing change but no local change, you compare the outgoing change with the previous version in the repository workspace (the last version before the check in).
Selecting resources to ignore in Advanced mode
You can restrict resources from being checked-in to Engineering Workflow Management source control by ignoring the resource.
Viewing and editing Jazz properties in Advanced mode
You can view and edit source control properties of a selected item.
Disconnecting shared folders in Advanced mode
You can disconnect shared top-level folders from source control.
Linking Engineering Workflow Management source control files to ELM artifacts
To provide full traceability between Engineering Lifecycle Management artifacts, you can link between Engineering Workflow Management source control files and other ELM artifacts, such as requirements in Engineering Requirements Management DOORS® Next, test scripts in Engineering Test Management, or other ELM artifacts.
Creating duplicate workspaces from a point in time
You can create a repository workspace that is identical to a workspace or stream as it existed at a previous point in time.
Rolling back workspaces or streams to a previous state
You can roll back the contents of an entire workspace or stream to a previous point in time.
Viewing the operation history of a workspace
The Operation History view of a workspace displays changes that you make in that workspace. You can also view operation history for a stream and individual components in the context of a workspace or stream.
