Creating a source control configuration file in Advanced mode

The source control Configuration file has information about the team's stream and its components. You can use the file to load a work area in Basic mode.

Before you begin

You must be connected to a project area. You created and added components to a stream and shared folders within those components.

  1. In the Managed Artifacts window, right-click My Source Control > All Repository Workspaces; then click Create Source Control Configuration File.
  2. In the Create Source Control Configuration File wizard, on the Select a Stream page, select a repository from the list and click Log On.
  3. In the lower pane, expand the project area and select a stream from the list.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the Components to Add page, select from the available components and click Finish.
  6. In the Save As window, save the file.
