Importing a component project to use with the system definitions generator.

About this task

With this task, you can practice running the system definitions generator with a sample project, several of which are installed with the Eclipse client.

Procedure

  1. Go to https://jazz.net/library/article/714 to download the project archive compressed file that you want to import.
  2. In the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE), open the Resource perspective.
    1. Click Window.
    2. From Open Perspective, select Other > Resource.
    3. Click OK.
  3. In the Project Explorer view, right-click, and then click Import.
  4. In the Import wizard Select window, expand the General node and select Existing Projects into Workspace.
  5. Click Next. The Import wizard Import Projects window opens.
  6. Select Select archive file and click Browse.
  7. Select the project archive compressed file that you downloaded in step 1.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. In the Project Explorer view, select the projects that you imported, right-click, hover over Team, and then click Share Project.
  10. In the Share Project window, select Jazz Source Control, and then click Next.
  11. In the Select Component window, select a component, or create one in an existing repository workspace.
  12. Click Finish.
