create synchronizedStream

Create a stream that is synchronized with Rational® ClearCase®.

Purpose

This command creates a ClearCase Synchronized Stream.

Synopsis

Note:
  • To run ccc create synchronizedStream after you have used ccc login to create stored credentials:

    ccc create synchronizedStream -r  |  --repository-uri ] repository URI [other options]

  • To run ccc create synchronizedStream supplying credentials on the command line:

    ccc create synchronizedStream -r  |  --repository-uri ] repository URI -u  |  --username ] user ID in repository  -P  |  --password ] password for user ID in repository  [other options]

  • To create a synchronized stream for an existing UCM stream, you must also specify the following option:

    [ -U  |  --ucm ] source stream

  • To create a stream to import the history from a UCM stream, specify the following options:

    [ -U  |  --ucm ] source stream  [ -I  |  --importOnly ] creates a history importer stream

  • To create a synchronized stream for an existing base Rational ClearCase branch type, specify the following options:

    -B  |  --brtype ] branch type to import  [[-L  |  --lbtype ] optional back stop label type selector]

  • To create a stream to import the history from base Rational ClearCase, specify the following options:

    [  -A  |  --attype ] required attribute type selector for history  importer  [-I  |  --importOnly ] creates a history importer stream  [-L  |  --lbtype ] required back stop label type selector

After you create a synchronization stream using the commands above, you can use the new merge workspace in the Eclipse client:
  1. Log in to the relevant repository with the same credentials that you used to create the stream from the CLI .
  2. From the Team Artifacts view, expand My Source Control > All Repository Workspaces.
  3. Right-click the name of the new merge workspace, and then click Show > Pending Changes.

Options and arguments

Note: The --view-stg option is mutually exclusive of the three other view storage options (--view-host, --gpath, and --hpath).
--certificate ] login certificate
Specifies the file that contains the login SSL certificate for the user.
--smartCard ]
Use the connected smart card for authentication.
-A  |  --attype ] 
Attribute type selector used by the history importer to select label types or baselines and the import order.
-B  |  --brtype ] 
Branch type selector to synchronize.
-C  |  --sync-user ] 
Synchronization process Jazz Team Server account name.
-e  |  --engine-sleep-time ] 
Sleep time of the import build engine in seconds. The default value is 120 seconds.
-G  |  --gpath ] 
Rational ClearCase view storage global path.
-H  |  --hpath ] 
Rational ClearCase view storage local path.
-I  |  --importOnly ] 
Creates a history importer stream.
-L  |  --lbtype ] 
Back stop label type selector.
-M  |  --merge-ws-name ] 
Optional merge workspace name.
-P  |  --password ] password for user ID in repository
The password for the specified user ID in the named repository. If this option is not included on the command line, you are prompted for a password. If you specified a repository URI or nickname for which you have stored credentials using the ccc login command, this option is ignored.
-p  |  --project-area ] 
Project area (name or UUID).
-r  |  --repository-uri ] repository URI
Specifies the repository in which to take this action. If you have stored repository credentials using the ccc login command, you can use the nickname that you supplied for these stored credentials.
-t  |  --team-area ] 
Team area (name or UUID) in the given project area.
-T  |  --view-host ] 
Rational ClearCase view storage host.
-u  |  --username ] user ID in repository
Specifies a user ID that exists in the named repository. If you specified a repository URI or nickname for which you have stored credentials using the ccc login command, this option is ignored.
-U  |  --ucm ] 
Stream selector.
-v  |  --verbose ]
Provide additional informational messages while operating.
-V  |  --view-stg ] 
Rational ClearCase view storage path.
-Y  |  --sync-user-password ] 
Password of the synchronization process Jazz™ Team Server account.
