Create a work item for a change set

When you are checking in changes to files, you can create a work item rather than associating the change to an existing work item.
Use the Create Work Item panel to create a new work item for the new change set.
The first three fields of the Create Work Item panel are blank. You can scroll the fields to enter more data than what fits on a single window. Optionally, press F4 (Expand) to open an entry dialog where you can enter extra data easily. You can enter data into the following fields:
Summary
Required. Enter information that describes the work that is associated with the change set.
Description
Optional. Enter a description of the work item.
Tags
Optional. Enter any tags to identify this work item and group it with others with the same tag.

This field is pre-filled with the project area to which you are currently connected. This field cannot be changed.

The following fields are mandatory. You cannot type values into the fields. The data for the fields is retrieved from the repository, and the field is pre-filled with the default value. When you click the field, a selection list presents a list of values for the field. Enter a forward slash (/) next to the correct value for the field in this work item.
