Importing views and custom artifact elements

You can import views and custom artifact elements from other IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights (ENI) projects.

About this task

You can import views and custom artifact elements as .zip files. The zip packages can be combined into content packages and deployed to other projects.
  • Views packages contain the XML files for the views, a text file that describes the content type and the time of the export.
  • Custom artifact elements packages contain .TTL files, a text file that describes the content type and the time of the export.

Importing views

Procedure

  1. From the menu, go to Views > Shared Views folder.
  2. Click the Import icon: Import icon to open the wizard.

    Tip: Choose Automatic to preserve the original data source selection.
  3. Use the wizard to import the views.
    Tip: You can specify the current project scope and conditions for the imported views.
    If the views are organized in folders in the original project, the folder hierarchy is preserved after you import the views.

Importing custom artifact elements

Procedure

  1. Go to Views > Custom Artifact Elements.
  2. Click the Import icon: Import icon.
  3. Click Browse and select the .zip file that you want to import, and click Import. The custom artifact elements are imported. If the custom artifact elements are organized in folders in the original project, the folder hierarchy is preserved after you import them.
