Lesson 6.1: Submit a Project record

In this lesson, you will submit a Project record in the IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® client, then verify that the ClearQuest Synchronizer adds the corresponding category to the Jazz™ project area.

About this task

To submit a Project record:


  1. Click Start > All Programs > IBM Rational ClearQuest > ClearQuest Client.
  2. Click File > Database > Connect. Select the connection for the user database that you created for this tutorial, and login to the database. If necessary, create a new connection.
  3. Click File > New > Project. Enter a name for the project, such as Sample Project 1. Click OK.
  4. In the Team Artifacts view in the IBM Engineering Workflow Management Eclipse client, right-click the tutorial project area and select Open.
  5. In the Project Area Editor, click the Work Item Categories tab. Verify that a category with the same name as the Project record that you created is in the list of categories, as shown below:
