Lesson 1.1: Create a schema repository

In this lesson you will create a schema repository for the sample schema and user database.

About this task

To create a schema repository:

  1. Click Start > All Programs > IBM Rational ClearQuest > ClearQuest Maintenance Tool.
  2. Click Schema Repository > Create.
  3. Enter a name for the new schema repository, such as CQ_Synchronizer_Tutorial. Leave MS_ACCESS as the database vendor. Click the Browse icon next to the Physical Database Name field and navigate to a directory where you want to store the schema repository. Enter a name for the physical database, such as CQTut.mdb. Click OK. Click Next.
  4. If you store the schema repository in a directory that is not shared, a popup message reminds you that other users will not be able to access it and asks if want to continue. Because this schema repository is for your personal use, click Yes.
  5. Leave the default code page setting as is and click Next.
  6. Clear the Create sample database check box. Click Finish.
