My Dashboard window

You can use the My Dashboard window to manage current work, future work, approval requests from team members, and work items that contain approval requests that you created. The My Dashboard window also includes an event log section, where you can configure team feeds. You can configure each section to display data from one or more project areas that you are connected to. You can also create query sections to show the results of one or more queries and group the query results by various work item fields.

My current work

This section displays your work in the current iterations for all timelines in each of the configured project areas. Work items are grouped by project areas and, optionally, by iterations within a project area.

My future work

This section displays your work in future iterations or the backlog for all timelines in each of the configured project areas. Work items are grouped by project areas and, optionally, by iterations within a project area.

Pending approvals

This section displays work items that your team members have marked for your approval.

Pending requests

This section displays work items that you own, and that are pending approvals from your team members. This section is helpful to reference when stream deliveries depend on peer reviews and approvals. You can use this section to view who to follow up with before you deliver to your team's stream.

Predefined sections

In each predefined section, you can configure one or more project areas. You can also group your current work items by iterations. When you select project areas, you can apply a configuration to all predefined sections that are not configured.

Event log

This section displays the event logs for your teams. You can view several types of events, such as work item modifications, new or updated source control artifacts, build requests, and reports.

You can customize the event log to view events for specific projects, teams, and event types. You can also specify several filters for your event log.

User-defined queries

You can create new query sections. You can select queries from multiple project areas and display them in the same section. You can group query results by different fields and display the results as a bar chart or as a grouped list.

Filters

You can use filters to display only the sections that you choose.
