Getting started: Team member

If you are a team member, developer, or other contributor on a team, there are several things you can do to get started with team collaboration.

About this task

The following list outlines some of the primary tasks for a team member to get up and running:

  1. Get connected

All the work you do with your team is based on your connection to the Jazz® repository and project areas, as well as your team membership:

Note: If you are not a member of a Team Area, you may not have permission to participate or view activity associated with that team. If you have not received an invitation, you should request your team lead or project administrator to add you to the appropriate team.
  2. Manage your work

There are several ways to understand and manage your own assigned work, which is tracked through work items, and your overall status:

    1. View planned work items for an iteration
    2. Use the My Work view to manage your own work
    3. Use the Team Dashboard view to see team events
    4. Create a new work item or find work items
    5. Create a dashboard and add content to your dashboard
  3. Manage your code and resources

The following tasks can get you started with the source control tools:

    1. Create a new repository workspace
    2. Accept incoming change sets
    3. Deliver your own changes
