Creating a Reference To an Automated Test Script On a Local Test Machine

To create a reference to an automated test script on a local machine:

  1. Click on the Construction tab on the left hand side and select the Create Test Script option.
  2. Type a name for the new test script.

    TIP: Make sure to use a name that is same or similar to the name of the actual test script.

    Select Type of script. Example: HP LoadRunner Script.

  3. In the window that opens, choose Use test resources that are local to a test machine option.
  4. Click the Select Adapter button. A new window will be displayed where you can select an adapter. Choose a running adapter and click Next.
  5. Provide the project path on the test machine where test resources reside and press Go. For example: C:\Program Files\HP\LoadRunner\tutorial

    A list of test resources appear.

  6. Select the resource that you wish to reference and then click Finish. Scenario textbox will be updated with appropriate path information. Save the script by clicking on Save button.
  7. The script is created now. You can create a test case and include the script in the test case.
