Approving consumer keys

Consumers can request provisional OAuth keys that are not active until they are authorized by an administrator.

  1. Log in to the Administration page of the Jazz™ Team Server or an application that is registered with the server.
    • For the Jazz Team Server:
      1. Point your web browser to https://fully qualified hostname:9443/jts/admin
Remember: The fully qualified hostname is the host name along with the DNS domain reference of the computer on which the Jazz Team Server is installed.
      2. On the Administration page, click the Server tab.
    • For an application registered with the server:
      1. Point your web browser to https://fully qualified hostname:9443/application/admin to access the application, where application is one of the following values:
        • ccm for Change and Configuration Management
        • dcc for Data Collection Component
        • gc for Global Configuration Management
        • qm for Quality Management
        • relm for IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights
        • rm for Requirements Management
      2. On the Administration page, click the Server tab.
  2. In the Communication pane, click Consumers (Inbound).
  3. On the OAuth Consumers page, view the Provisional Keys section for new requests.
  4. Optional: To identify the server that uses the consumer key, update the Consumer Name field with the new server name.
  5. Optional: If the consumer shares authorization with other trusted consumers, select the Trusted check box.
  6. Select Approve or Reject for the request.
  7. Click Save. If approved, the key is included in the Authorized Keys section of the page. The requesting consumer can now use the key to communicate with this server.
