Adding roles

You can add and remove individual roles for a project or team.

Before you begin

You must be logged in to the Jazz™ Team Server web client with an account that has Jazz Administrator privileges or permission to modify the project area.

Procedure

  1. In a web browser, navigate to the Application Administration - Design Management (/dm) page.
  2. On the Project Areas menu, click Active Project Areas.
  3. In the project area, click Roles and then select a role under Defined Roles.
  4. To add a role, click the Create Role icon, and enter an identifier for the role. This ID is used in the process configuration code, and in the Role Details lists when you add members to a team.
    1. Enter an identifier for the role.
    2. Optional: Enter a name for the role.
    3. If the role can be assigned to only one team member, set the Cardinality attribute to single.
    4. If the role can be assigned to multiple team members, set the Cardinality attribute to many.
    5. Optional: Enter a description of the role.
  5. Click Save.
