 Hi,

How i can restrict the tags creation for a user?

Is there any limitation on the number of tags that can be applied to an artifact?

Thanks.

Hi Sandra,

Are you asking about tag creation for RRC artifacts?

In the Process Configuration, Team Configuration (similar to RTC) there is permission that controls saving shared tags. In the upcoming release, V4.0.1, by default only those with Administrator role will be able to create shared tags for use by everybody. Those with Author role will still be able to create private tags for their own use.

This same change is also being applied to shared views, i.e. authors will be able to create their own private views but by default only those with Administrator role will be able to create shared views.

Hi, in Process Configuration, Team Configuration>Modify WorkItems, Modify the WorkItems Tags, you can, based on role, allow or restrict adding/removing tags. You can restrict roles to only be able to add existing tags. That allows to have some taxonomy created from roles that are allowed to and everyone else has to file a request if they need a new tag.
