From DOORS imported requirements are not filtered; requirements with REQ Type 'Prose' are not hidden

retagged Nov 21 '12, 8:26 a.m. by Scarlett Li (201●4●9) Requirements from DOORS are exported to the Rational Quality Manager by the menu items "Integrations / RQM / Export to RQM". The text passages are classified by the attribute 'REQ Type' with the values 'DEF' or 'Prose'. 'DEF'-passages are requirements and 'prose'-passages are only annotations. So 'prose'-passages should not be listed as requirements by Rational Quality Manager. But the 'prose'-passages are also listed as requirements under the menu items "requirements / view requirements". This is not correct and confusing. Do you agree that requirements are signed by the value 'DEF' and that textpassages (value 'Prose') must be hidden by the RQM?

The scenario makes senses to me, per the current RQMI style integration, the products does not do this "logic" filter. While if the customer can move towards OSLC integration, they can define views that filter out the "not need to be test" requirements, and test the "Test View" use Test Plans, by then, the generated test case are only related to "need to be test" requirements.
