Can generateChangeLog Ant task generate file other than txt file?

suggests
"generateChangeLog Ant task can be used to generate a text file listing the change sets (and associated work items) that went into the build, or between two builds or snapshots."

Does that mean Ant task can only generate a text file? Is it possible to generate other format of file such as xml file etc?

Or if generateChangeLog Ant task cannot generate other format of file, is there any other way such as using API or different script to export the changset details in the build result to csv or excel format file when a build is completed? Thanks
