Robert Jessel (322) | asked Oct 15 '12, 12:08 p.m.
When adding new attributes to an existing workitem type they are available / modifiable only to new created workitems but not to old ones. How can I solve this problem?

Run a work item query, such as "All Defects", highlight all items in result,  right click on "type" field, select "Synchronize attributes".

That method also works.  The advantage of the method I had given is that you can easily target which work items you want the add the new attributes to with your query, such as all open work items scheduled for release 1.2.
