Usage of SVN with in RTC

Is there a way to use Subversion for versioning with in RTC? The idea is to re-use the already existing Subversion archive without having to impact the end user way of working.

Users would use SVN for source control along with the features of RTC/Jazz.

Please see the help about using RTC with subversion: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/topic/com.ibm.team.scm.svn.doc/topics/c_intro.html

You can configure RTC to use subversion SCM and create links to work items. You would have to create your own automation for SVN operations used during builds etc.

Note that you will of course not be able to use any of the RTC-SCM features if you use SVN as your versioning system ... e.g. the Pending Changes view, the history view, and the "locate changes" operation.

Hi Satish,

I talked to our VS development team and currently the SVN integration does not work with the VS client. This is because we rely on the SVN Eclipse plugin as described here: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/SVNAndWorkItems .

And I think the RTC SCM is so much better, it is worth moving anyway.
