Submitting a defect for RTC
If you want to submit a defect (with the web interface) without being a developer. Should you have to be registered, at least as a contributor?
If you are a user of the application without being part of the team, could you submit a defect? Or should you use ClearQuest and synchronize with RTC.? |

The ClearQuest Connector has the equivalent of a developer's license, so as far as licensing goes, it will always be able to modify work items. But as far as process permissions go, a choice can be made. You can configure things so that work item changes made by synchronization with ClearQuest are either made using the identiity of a single "connector user", or using the identity of the ClearQuest user that made the changes in ClearQuest. The process permissions that will be applied will be based on whichever identity is configured to be used. There is more on this in the online help at

Hi Christophe
For your own RTC installation - you need to be a contributor. You do not need to be part of any team to submit a defect. If you use ClearQuest, you can use the synchronisation too but I am not sure if you need to be registered with RTC/Jazz Team Server if you go via ClearQuest - this is an interesting question. anthony |
