How can I get a custom BIRT report to show on a dashboard in 4.0?

I know that in CLM 4.0 the ability to show BIRT reports on the dashboard is added using the Report widget. But the drop down to select a report seems to only show the out of the box reports and none of the custom BIRT reports. Is there a way to get it to show custom reports?

Did you try this way (works for 3.0)?

First of all make sure it will fit: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/HowToCreateMicroBIRTReportTemplates

And then edit process template using run-time process contribution to add widget:

Vladimir,

I am able to put a widget with custom report in the project dashboard, but I can not put it in my personal dashboard. How can I do it?
When I try to include a widget in my personal dashboard, the viewlet that I created for a project area is not available to select.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

 It seems this is limitation:

Viewlet entries contributed via the process to a project area will only show up in the Widget Catalog for project and team area dashboards located in that project area.
