difference between teamarea and processarea

what is the main difference between workitem attribute type for teamarea and processarea?
what can be use case I need to use attribute type teamarea or processarea.

does it only impacts the way when trying to get the value via API,
or it does has different which leading to different business usage?

workitem types are linked to a project (which you get from the process templates) and team areas are a subset of project area.

TM, thanks for the reply, I am talking about attribute type not workitem.

You can create attribute with type: teamarea or processarea. Question here is more focus on use case, when I should use teamarea, when select processarea. from content point of view, I did not see any difference, I can choose any existing project area & team areas.

The only difference I can see for now is when using API to access that attribute, it is different. Is there any other things I did not notice?
