There is effectively no limit to the number of levels of streams you can
define. There have been some discussion of best practices on laying out
streams in this forum. I'd also recommend the books: "Software
Configuration Management Patterns" by Berczuk and Appleton and "Software
Configuration Management Strategies and Rational ClearCase" (original
edition by Brian White ... an updated version is also available).
